The main point of admission to Queen's College is at 11+, when there is a three-form entry. Applicants come from all over London, from a wide range of both independent prep schools and state primaries. Girls from Queen's College Preparatory School follow the same entry procedure as other girls.
The selection process
Selection is on the basis of an interview with the Principal or another senior member of staff, a reference from the candidate's school, and examinations in Mathematics and English.
All candidates are interviewed by the Principal or another senior member of staff, usually in the second half of the Michaelmas Term preceding entry. Each girl is asked to bring with her a piece of work of which she is proud, and this forms the initial basis of discussion. Parents are always invited to an interview with the Principal so that they can ask any questions they may have.
The Mathematics and English tests are those set by the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium, of which Queen's College is a member (in Group 1). For entry to Queen's in September 2012, these tests must be sat on Fri 20 January.
The deadline for applications for 11+ entry in September 2012 is Wed 30 November 2011.

Results
The results of the selection process (offer, waiting-list, or no offer) are released on a date agreed jointly by the Consortium schools. In 2012 this will be Thurs 23 February. Parents have just under two weeks in which to accept a place which has been offered, and must respond to the College by noon on Wed 7 March.
