Crime and punishment

'Women in Crime': from the dramatist's point of view the story of Ruth Ellis provides a rich vein for exploration. Ruth Ellis was in 1955 the last woman to be hanged in Britain. In the past few weeks Queen's College GCSE Drama students have devised and performed three excellent plays which explored the human story behind this notorious case. Parents and friends were entertained, moved and impressed by the high standard of the girls' work. Well done!
