Cross-country success for Queen's in Hyde Park
A number of girls participated in the Queen's Gate cross-country event in Hyde Park on Wed 18 November. In very windy and cold conditions the girls performed brilliantly and we had lots of success in both the team events and individual placings. In the U14 race Genevieve (3LP) finished just outside the medals in 4th place, and amongst the U16s Jess (IJM) finished in 2nd place after a nail-biting sprint finish, while Teddy (IJM) came in 5th. The U14 team comprising Francesca (2W), Genevieve (3LP), Sarah (2W), Niamh (2W), Maya (2S) and Juliette (2S) finished 3rd overall and the U16 team of Nell (1G), Teddy (IJM), Alice (IJNG), Jess (IJM) and Harriet (IJDG) finished in 2nd place overall. If any pupils are interested in running cross-country races they should see Miss Slingsby about joining Queen’s Running club. Well done to all the girls who participated.
