Katherine Mansfield short story competition

Our annual short story competition, named after former student Katherine Mansfield,  has just been adjudicated by Emma Freud, another Old Queen's.  Emma read all the shortlisted stories and commented, 'I haven't enjoyed a task as much as that in ages.  Your girls are incredible!  I'm seriously overwhelmed by the talent in these short stories.  It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to have been given the job of judging them... and a real joy to do.'  Her choice of winners was as follows:

Junior section: Natalie (2WA)
Intermediate section: Nell (1G) and Bella (IIJC)
Senior section and best in school: Zoe (ISG)
Congratulations and thanks to all who entered.

Emma Freud will be coming to Prayers on Fri 4 December to talk about judging the stories and to give out the prizes.
