New Senior Student
We congratulate the new Senior Student and her two deputies, who took up their positions at the start of this term.
The Senior Student at Queen's is the equivalent of head girl; and she, her deputies and the prefects are elected by staff and the older girls. The new Senior Student is Charity (ISG) and her deputies are Maud (ISL/A) and Rudi (ISWA). They have already been highly effective in co-ordinating our efforts for the Haiti earthquake appeal and have raised over £1000 for this worthy cause. They take over from Hannah (IISWD), Claudia (IISP) and Sienna (IISW) who have done an excellent job over the past year and will now be able to focus all their energies on their academic studies. The three of them have some demanding university offers to meet: Hannah for Theology at Oxford, Claudia for Environmental Science at Leeds and Sienna for History and Economics at York. We thank them all for their sterling efforts and good work.
