Queen's girls in the Mini London Marathon

On Sun 22 April four pupils from Queen's took part in the Mini London Marathon. It was a highly successful event and all four competitors thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The event was very popular and had a total entry of 1875 runners, aged from 10-18 years old.

The girls described the start as a 'hustle and bustle' with children desperate to get to the front of each race – apparently elbows were flying everywhere! It was a beautiful, sunny day in London and the three mile route along the Embankment was magnificent (once the runners had spread out). Thea (2W) was our fastest finisher with a great time of 00.22.21. She was placed 258th overall and 107th in her category. Genevieve (1G) and Eloise (3S) were close behind with times of 00.22.29 and 00.22.36 respectively, putting them in 278th and 293th positions overall. Maya (IJE) had a finishing time of 00.25.13 and an overall position of 537th. Congratulations to all who took part!
