Queen's students on visit to Amsterdam

Queen’s College Religious Studies students spent a long weekend in Amsterdam from 4 to 6 December to explore themes relevant to their GCSE course. One of the girls wrote:

It was a trip of contrasts. We rubbed shoulders with trendy art students in the Van Gogh Museum; we witnessed Dutch tolerance walking through the red light district to get to the Old Church, and we tried to understand what happened to Dutch Jews under the Nazi occupation. Visiting the Anne Frank House at 263 Prinsengracht and the Vught Concentration Camp outside the city cannot be described in a sentence. If you want to find out more, we are keen to talk about what we have seen. Thanks to Mrs Gumpert, Mrs Mitra, Ms Davies and Mr Willows for making the trip possible.
