Queen's success at London Schools cross-country championships
The Queen's College cross-country team entered the LSAA cross-country championships at Parliament Hill on Wed 3 February. Thirteen girls represented the College in the intermediate and junior divisions with the first four runners in each scoring towards the team prize. It was a very wet and muddy course, and Maya (2S) finished the race with one shoe and one sodden sock having lost her trainer in the mud somewhere near the finish! Congratulations to Harriet (IJDG) who was the fastest Queen's girl in the intermediate event and finished 28th overall. Sarah (2W) was our fastest junior. The intermediate girls - Alice (IJNG), Jess (IJM), Harriet (IJDG) and Anna (IJM) - triumphed in the team prize finishing in 5th place ahead of some strong competition from other London schools. A successful day for Queen's runners!
