Rounders match report

Years 9 and 10 played Portland Place School at rounders on a rather wet Marylebone Green on Thurs 3 May. The Year 9 teams started cautiously in the first innings and a couple of opportunities to score were missed – the score was 4:2.5 to Portland Place. In the second innings the Queen's girls took more chances and took real advantage of any misfielded play. The second innings score was 5:4 to Queen's. Well done to all who played: Captain Elle (1FG) organised the team fantastically and Emilie (1FG) was player of the match. Final result: Queen's 7.5 and Portland Place 8.

The Year 10's made a great start against Portland Place with Bella (1JK) scoring a rounder with the first hit of the game. The girls continued scoring with an impressive 5.5 rounders in the first innings. Portland Place won the second innings but this was too little too late. Bella (IJK) and Captain Mao (IJK) were the most valued players of the match. Final result: Queen's 9.5 and Portland Place 8.5.
