Year 8 Geography fieldwork in Epping Forest

Class 2 spent a very useful afternoon in Epping Forest recently, exploring in the field topics which they had already encountered in the classroom back at Queen's. Oona (2S) writes:

We hardly noticed the cold and the mud on our Geography trip to Epping Forest being so engrossed in our river studies projects. We gathered information by taking rock samples and measuring their colour, consistency and mineral content. We also built up a picture of the varied habitat of the area recording data from the water in the rivers. Thank you to Mrs Sperling and all the staff who made the trip so worthwhile.
