Testimonials about Queen's College, London
We are delighted to share the following testimonials about experiences in our school and with our pupils and teachers.
"I wanted to just say how wonderful it has been to have the QCL girls at our events. They are remarkably focused, highly articulate and enthusiastically participate.
Belle was absolutely outstanding yesterday at the Supreme Court. She is a real credit to herself, QCL and the Girls Human Rights Hub club. All listeners were equally impressed .
Today, at the Activists Bootcamp, the girls were simply phenomenal. I can't believe they were able to absorb everything that our speakers said. But more than that, you should have heard some or the questions they asked! If they are like this at the ages of 11, 12 and 13, I think we need to get ready for a QCL global domination."

"What a great first term our daughter has had at Queen’s! There is such an open and supportive atmosphere in the school, and she’s had such a warm welcome from both teachers and the other girls from day one.
We have been really impressed with the academic approach too. It’s been a step up for her in most subjects, but her teachers have been very supportive. As a result, she’s enjoying and rising to the challenge and is loving the calm learning environment. It sounds as though they have some great class discussions, which was missing in her old school.
Most important of all I overheard her say the other day that her school is fun. It’s not easy joining in Year 8 but I don’t think she could have had a better experience!"

"Our daughter was holding several school offers, and we were comparing the usual things: GCSE and A-Level results, cohort size and on-site facilities. Where QCL truly stood head and shoulders above the rest was in the feedback we received from students, teachers and parents about their real experiences of life at Queen’s - and the overwhelmingly positive, kind and happy atmosphere that runs through the school community (alongside, of course, a healthy dose of aspiration for the girls). The pupils we met were confident, genuine and enthusiastic when talking about the friendships they had made, the diverse clubs and activities they took part in, their enjoyment of their studies, and how supported they felt by QCL teachers, both academically and in personal or social situations.
The commitment of Mr Tillett and his team to staying at the cutting edge of educational practice also helped persuade us. We were looking for that tricky balance: a school that is aspirational in traditional academic subjects, but which also places generous emphasis on creative areas including dance, drama and music. We want our daughter to enjoy maths and science, but we knew that having enthusiastic dance teachers would make the transition a whole lot easier.
With a term and a half behind us, the experience has been everything we hoped for. Our daughter has made wonderful new friends, joined lots of clubs, and is progressing well with her schoolwork. Most importantly, she genuinely looks forward to going to Queen’s - and to telling us all about what she’s been up to each week."

“Queen’s won us over from the minute we stepped through the front door - the indescribable QCL vibe. Who couldn’t love a school with such a fantastic history of academically educating young women (for over 175 years!)
The sense of community is palpable. Every girl is known and this lets them be unapologetically themselves. We were looking for a school where our daughter could thrive, academically and pastorally, and that’s exactly what we found at Queen’s College!”
- Rosie, Parent of Year 11
