Stay & Play (Ages 2–5)

Stay and Play mornings provide an immersive and fun introduction to our outstanding Early Years environment.

Join us regularly during the term for play-based themed activities, story time and an opportunity to meet our Early Years team. It's the perfect way to experience our nurturing environment before applying and also for joining families to familiarise themselves with our Little Corgis Pre-School.

Our Pre-School provides a warm, caring and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to explore, play and grow in confidence. Through carefully planned activities and exceptional pastoral care, we help every girl develop a love of learning from the very beginning.

We welcome applications throughout the year, subject to availability, and encourage families to attend one of our popular Stay & Play sessions to experience our Early Years setting first hand.

Attend one or more of our themed Stay & Play sessions, where your daughter can enjoy a relaxed morning of play while our Early Years team gets to know her.

Parents are invited to an informal meeting with one of our Co-Heads to discuss your daughter's transition to Queen's and answer any questions you may have.

An inspiring start to school life

Reception is an exciting milestone, and at Queen's every girl is supported to make a confident and happy start. Our specialist teachers, broad curriculum and nurturing approach help children develop academically, socially and emotionally from day one.

Families are encouraged to visit us before applying, either by attending a Stay & Play session or arranging a personal visit.

Join at our main junior entry point

Year 3 is our principal entry point into the Preparatory School and welcomes girls from a wide range of schools and educational backgrounds. We look for children who are curious, enthusiastic learners and who will embrace the many opportunities Queen's has to offer.

Our assessment day is designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, allowing girls to demonstrate their potential in a supportive environment.

Assessment Day
Applicants complete activities in English, Mathematics and Critical Thinking, together with a collaborative group activity.

Scholarships
All applicants are automatically considered for Academic Scholarships. Music Scholarships are also available for talented musicians.

A seamless pathway to Queen's College, London

Year 6 offers an exciting opportunity for girls to join the Preparatory School before progressing to Queen's College, London. Successful applicants secure their place for Senior School, allowing them to enjoy a smooth and confident transition into the next stage of their education.

Submit your Registration Form together with the £180 non-refundable registration fee.

Assessment
Applicants complete an age-appropriate computer-based assessment covering English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Interview
Girls are invited to an informal interview with a member of staff.

Offer
Successful applicants receive an offer of a place and, upon joining Queen's Prep, secure their pathway to Queen's College, London.

Join Queen's at another point in your daughter's education

Although our main entry points are at ages 3, 4, 7 and 10, places occasionally become available in other year groups.
