Who can apply to Queen's College, London?
Our main entry point is at 11+ (Year 7), although we also welcome applications for Sixth Form (16+) and occasionally have places available in other year groups.

What are you looking for in an applicant?
We are academically selective, but not narrowly so. We consider entrance assessment results alongside an interview and a reference from your daughter's current school to build a complete picture of her potential.

Does my daughter need to attend an Open Event before applying?
It isn't compulsory, but we strongly recommend visiting Queen's before submitting an application. Our Open Events [LINK] are a great opportunity to meet staff and students, explore the school and experience our community first-hand.

How does the 11+ admissions process work?
As members of the London 11+ Consortium, applicants sit the Consortium entrance examination before attending an interview. We also request a reference from their current school before offers are made.

My daughter attends Queen's College Preparatory School. Does she follow the same admissions process?
No. Girls joining from Queen's College Preparatory School follow a separate admissions pathway. Please contact our Admissions Team for further information.

Can my daughter join Queen's in Sixth Form if she currently attends another school?
Absolutely. Every year we welcome students from a wide range of schools, both within the UK and internationally, into our Sixth Form community.

What GCSE grades are needed for Sixth Form?
Students must meet the minimum GCSE requirements for their chosen A-level subjects, as well as the school's overall entry requirements. Full subject-specific requirements can be found on our Sixth Form admissions page.

Do you offer school transport?
Yes. From September 2026, Queen's offers a dedicated school bus service in partnership with Vectare, alongside excellent public transport links across London.

Can I arrange a private tour?
Yes. If you're unable to attend an Open Event, we'd be delighted to arrange an individual visit. Please contact our Admissions Team to book a personalised tour.

What are the main entry points to Queen's College Preparatory School?
Girls can join us at Little Corgis (age 3), Reception (age 4), Year 3 (7+) or Year 6 (10+). We also occasionally have places available in other year groups, subject to availability.

Can my daughter join outside the usual entry points?
Yes. From time to time, places become available in other year groups. If a place arises, we'll invite your daughter to complete an age-appropriate assessment and meet a member of our team so we can ensure Queen's is the right fit for her.

How does the admissions process work?
The process varies depending on your daughter's age, but typically includes completing a registration form, meeting members of our team and, for older applicants, an age-appropriate assessment. Our Admissions Team will guide you through each step.

What happens at a Stay & Play session?
Our Stay & Play sessions offer families the opportunity to experience life at Little Corgis and Reception in a relaxed setting. Children can enjoy themed activities and explore our learning spaces while parents meet our Early Years team and learn more about our approach.

Do girls automatically move from Little Corgis into Reception?
Yes. Transition from Little Corgis into Reception is seamless and automatic unless an alternative pathway is considered to be in a child's best interests.

What does the admissions assessment involve?
Assessments are designed to be age-appropriate. At 7+, girls complete activities including writing, mathematics, critical thinking and a group task. At 10+, applicants complete English, mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning assessments, followed by an informal interview.

Do you offer scholarships?
Yes. At 7+, all applicants are automatically considered for Academic Scholarships, while Music Scholarships are available through an additional audition and assessment process.

Does joining the Prep guarantee a place at Queen's College, London?
Yes. Girls who join the Prep at Year 6 (10+) secure their pathway to Queen's College, London at 11+, following the school's admissions arrangements.

Absolutely. We encourage families to attend one of our Open Events, Stay & Play sessions or arrange a personalised tour with our Co-Heads to experience the school and ask any questions.
