Scholarships

Academic, Art, Dance, Drama, Music, Sport and All Rounder scholarships are awarded at 11+.

In the case of Art, Dance, Drama, Music and Sport scholarships at 11+, applicants who have indicated that they would like to be considered for an award will be invited to submit a short video or portfolio. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited into the College for auditions/further assessment. Results for 11+ scholarships will be released at the same time as the 11+ entry results.

Academic, Art, Dance, Drama, Sport, Performing Arts and Music scholarships are also awarded on entry to the Senior College at 16+ (Sixth Form). Both internal and external candidates are welcome to apply, and scholarship examinations are held each year in November. Scholarships may be held for the two years' study up to A-level.

A bursary may be awarded in addition to a scholarship if financial support is necessary.

Bursaries

We are keen to admit any girl who meets our academic standards and will benefit from the unique education Queen's provides, regardless of her financial situation, and a family can apply for means-tested bursaries on entry at both 11+ and 16+.

If College funds permit, a bursary can provide up to 100% remission of fees, depending on a family's financial circumstances. Bursary applications for entry at 11+ should be submitted as early as possible in the year prior to entry.

Bursaries may also be awarded if parents' circumstances change dramatically during the course of a student's time at the College. To see the deadline for bursary applications (and all other Admissions deadlines) please visit the 11+ Admissions page.

Bursary awards are, however, available only to pupils who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and whose families meet the School's financial eligibility criteria. International applicants and families who are not ordinarily resident in the UK are not eligible for bursary support. In addition, applicants seeking a boarding place in the Sixth Form are not eligible for bursary assistance, irrespective of nationality or country of residence.

Scholarships

Our Queen’s Scholars programme from Year 3 upwards offers opportunities to explore subjects in even greater depth.

From workshops and visiting speakers to trips and enrichment activities, our Scholars enjoy experiences that extend their learning.

On applying to QCPS from Year 3, all applicants are automatically considered for academic scholarships based on their performance during the assessment process.

Students may apply for music scholarships in QCPS.  The assessment process includes: 

• Elementary theory assessment
• Performance/audition – two contrasting pieces
• Aural test
• Grade 2 level as a standard level on voice or instrument
• Reference and grade certificates
