At Little Corgis, every day is filled with opportunities to question, discover and create. Through our enquiry-led approach, girls learn by exploring the world around them, following their interests and making meaningful connections through play. Carefully planned activities introduce early Literacy and Maths in engaging, age-appropriate ways, while encouraging communication, creativity and critical thinking.
It's an approach that builds confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning, providing the perfect foundation for Reception and beyond.
Specialist experiences from the very beginning.
Little Corgis enjoy opportunities that extend far beyond a traditional pre-school experience.
Weekly lessons with specialist teachers in Music, French, Dance, Art and Forest School introduce new skills and help every child discover new interests.
Thanks to our central London location, we can introduce visits to local parks and museums that bring learning to life, such as Queen Mary's Rose Gardens and Willows Farm.
Space to explore, play and grow
Outdoor learning is an important part of every week. Our dedicated courtyard provides a safe space for free-flow play, while regular visits to the beautiful Park Crescent Gardens encourage physical development and imaginative play. Time outdoors helps children build confidence and friendships while developing both fine and gross motor skills.
Nurtured as an individual
We know that every child develops at her own pace. Our experienced Early Years team takes the time to understand each girl's unique personality, interests and strengths, creating a warm, supportive environment where she feels safe, valued and encouraged to flourish.
By building strong relationships with both children and families, we help every Little Corgi develop the confidence to embrace new experiences and look forward to each day at school.
Our fortnightly Stay & Play sessions offer a relaxed introduction to our nurturing Early Years environment, giving your daughter the opportunity to explore our learning spaces through themed play, story time and creative activities, while you meet our teachers and chat with other families.
Whether it's your first visit or you'd like to come along more than once, we'd be delighted to welcome you.
Little ones can enjoy story-inspired activity stations, from creating their own mini storybooks and designing colourful bookmarks to character crafts and cosy story time. It's a wonderful opportunity to spark creativity while exploring our welcoming Early Years classrooms.
Celebrate every child's unique personality through creative, hands-on activities designed to build confidence and self-expression. Children can decorate self-portraits, create their own 'All About Me' keepsakes, explore sensory play and enjoy interactive games, all while getting to know our friendly Little Corgis team.
Venture into a magical woodland adventure inspired by autumn. Discover nature-themed play stations, woodland crafts, leaf printing, small world exploration and storytelling inspired by mysterious forests and woodland creatures. It's the perfect opportunity for little explorers to learn through play and imagination.
Kick off the festive season with a magical Christmas Stay & Play. It's a joyful way to experience the warmth of the Little Corgis community as Christmas approaches.

Welcome! I am Miss Shireen Toor and I have the joy of leading Early Years at QCPS. I am passionate that all our wonderful Little Corgis and Reception pupils enjoy the opportunity to grow, be curious and thrive in our nurturing, secure environment. I am dedicated to creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences that celebrate the unique qualities of each and every child.
My teaching journey began with an Education BA, followed by a PGDE and a Master’s in Educational Leadership; equipping me with a deep understanding of child development and the magic of play-based learning. Now, with many years’ of experience in early childhood education, I am committed to creating a safe and stimulating preschool where young minds can flourish. With our warm, approachable nature, my team and I strive to build positive, lasting relationships with you and your daughter.
I warmly invite you to the QCPS community – a place where every girl begins her learning journey. From Little Corgis and beyond, we nurture courage, creativity, compassion, collaboration, and curiosity.
Teaching in the Early Years is a privilege. I love encouraging young children's natural curiosity, listening to their questions and watching them discover the world with confidence and excitement.
I hold a BA in Education and an Early Years Teacher qualification, which gave me a strong foundation in child development and high-quality teaching practice. I also have a specialism in wellbeing and an MA in Community Psychology, helping me to support children's emotional development alongside their learning.
Outside school, I enjoy dancing, swimming in the sea and hiking. I also love observing wildlife, from tiny caterpillars in the garden to giant tortoises on remote islands. Alongside English, I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Little Corgis fees include all meals, snacks, drinks and educational trips, so there are no hidden extras. Families may also be eligible for 15 hours of government-funded childcare each week (term-time only), helping to reduce the cost of attendance.
For full details of fees, funding and payment information, please visit our Fees page.
While not compulsory, we highly recommend attending one of our Stay & Play sessions. They offer a wonderful opportunity for your daughter to experience Little Corgis through fun, themed activities while you meet our Early Years team and explore our learning environment.
Yes. Little Corgis is the first stage of the Queen's College Preparatory School journey, and girls move seamlessly into Reception unless an alternative educational pathway is considered more appropriate for an individual child.
The best way to experience Little Corgis is to visit us. Join us for a Stay & Play session, or contact our Admissions team to organise a private tour.
