At Queen’s she was seen from day one. As she has progressed through the school, not only has her confidence grown but she is also very engaged in so many aspects of school life. Following her excellent academic results in the first couple of end of year exams she was awarded an academic scholarship out of the blue. That came with extra work and she has thrown herself into that with gusto.

What a great first term our daughter has had at Queen’s! There is such an open and supportive atmosphere in the school, and she’s had such a warm welcome from both teachers and the other girls from day one. We have been really impressed with the academic approach too. It’s been a step up for her in most subjects, but her teachers have been very supportive. As a result, she’s enjoying and rising to the challenge and is loving the calm learning environment. It sounds as though they have some great class discussions, which was missing in her old school. Most important of all I overheard her say the other day that her school is fun!

Pastoral care is a standout – and not just in the way every school claims it is. There’s a visible infrastructure (the Thrive Centre, counselling, support spaces), but more importantly, there’s a clear, consistent culture behind it. Staff meet regularly to discuss pupil wellbeing, concerns are tracked properly, and there’s a shared expectation that every girl is known and supported.

Now that my daughter is in 6th Form, the tightness and support has grown even more, and the cohort is lovely. I can’t wait to see what they all end up doing in life! When my son was doing his 11+ last year, I was looking for a version of Queen’s for him and if I could have applied to Queen’s for him, I would have!

I have had such an amazing time at Queens with multiple different experiences, lessons and friends made along the way. My favourite thing about Queens must be how kind everyone is and how engaging all of the lessons are. The teachers are incredible and all of the pupils are really nice to be around. All the different year groups are supportive to each other, and I have found this school to be the perfect place to be.

I have been at Queen’s for many years: I attended the prep school since Reception and QCL since year 7, so that's 13 years! So it has been a place where I’ve grown up both academically and personally. Over time, I’ve become much more confident in my abilities and more willing to take on challenges, whether that’s through my studies or participating in clubs. Being in a smaller school has meant I’ve always felt known and supported as an individual, which has made my school experience positive.
